PREREADINGS
A Forum expectation is that those key administrators who make or influence
system decisions of a state selected for the Change Agent States national
project will come with some background in and commitment for diversity
issues. The following readings will provide all participants with a
common base for understanding and communication. Please complete them
before you arrive at the Leadership Forum. For your convenience the
readings are hotlinked below or you can use the references to find a
hard copy.

STATE
ASSESSMENTS
Coordinators will bring a copy of each of the state data from the two
assessments:
1) the Workforce Profile Assessment and
2) the Workplace Climate Assessment to the Forum. Becoming familiar
with the results and implications of this data will be important information
for guiding strategic planning.

Forum Agenda
The goal is to move beyond personal diversity concerns and toward
examining and discussing system strategies for change practices
in hiring, budgeting, promotion, funding, training; personnel needs;
system policies; potential barriers; etc.
The format will lead participants thru a process resulting in
state-specific goals and identified outcomes.
Monday, 9:00am- 7:00pm, 3 breaks & lunch;
Tuesday, 8:00am-5pm, 2 breaks, lunch, dinner & evening in
Old Town;
Wednesday, 8:00am-2pm, 1 break & lunch. 2-5pm. State consultations
with Dr. Kirkham
as scheduled with the Project Manager, Carol Young.
